North Island Trading Company

The North Island Trading Company was founded by the half-elven adventurer known as Trapper in the year 25 A.F. The son of an elven noble and a human soldier who met and fell in love during the Navanaith-Taren War, Trapper showed great skill as a merchant as well as an adventuring Druid. As a member of the Scions adventuring group, Trapper was able to leverage the wealth and acclaim he earned during the reclaiming of Port Eldritch into a moderately successful trading company. He named the company North Island, after the small island he had been ceded by Queen Katarina of Elvedon for services to the crown.

North Island’s success grew after it merged with the Two Sparrows Trading Company, based out of Elvedon’s capital. The merger brought recognition and prestige to North Island, as well as opening the door to trade with the eastern empire of Yung An. Trapper added a third component when he purchased a small shipyard in the barony of Storm Coast. North Island could now build the ships that would carry their trade goods, cutting out the need for a middle-man.

In the five years since its founding, North Island has become one of Elvedon‘s premier mercantile businesses. It’s ships ply the sealanes throughout the Known Lands, bringing wealth and knowledge alike to Elvedon’s shores. When Baron Storm Coast and Queen Katarina decided to seek beyond the horizon, it was this scope and success as well as personal ties that made them settle on North Island Trading Company to make their dream a reality.
